Default quick, ECM question..

01 duramax, the ECM died.
will a 01, 02, 03, 04 ecm work? they have the same engine.

can i do a full flash of a 02 OS so i wont have to deal with the 01 ecm problems???

thanks guys.

i would believe that the 01 and 02 are the same but i know that the 03's in gas are different so i can only assume the diesels would be similar

pretty sure ECMs from 2000 - 2002 are 512kb and all 2003+ are 1mb. I think this includes diesels as well.
