Picked up a new daily driver today....
Well the old '91 C1500 has about run its course. 170,000 miles and it just feels like its straining to get around any more, so its time to let her go. I have been trying to find just a regular cab 8' bed but I wanted the 2500HD because it just rides so smooth. Been looking since May to find a regular cab long bed with the 8.1L and Allison but they are just not out there unless you want a striped down plow truck....and even those are far and few between with an 8.1L under the hood. I had 4 dealerships looking for me with, "as soon as you find one, I will buy it" orders but they couldn't find one. They would email me or call every Friday asking if i would take an extended cab instead or if i would settle for the 6.0L. Well finally today i found one in Ohio at a dealership where it was traded in on Friday by the original owner. Carfax showed it squeeky clean with the scheduled maintenance records at the dealership. Its a 2004 regular cab long bed, 4WD, 8.1L, Allison 5spd, G80-3.73 rear, LS trim, with 37,800 miles on it. I am driving out to pick it up on Friday. Shouldn't be to long before I get the laptop hooked up and get a decent tune in it...
I ripped mine off awhile ago and if you want em you can have em.
