I don't know. I am pretty sure you have to remove it just to get the turbo out. The manifold up pipes will be no fun either.

The driver side does not have to come out it just has to be loose it seems.

The up pipe bolts do look like an SOB but what is a project without some difficult *** bolts?

And now you know how I ended up down the rebuild process... LOL
If it wasn't leaking, I wouldn't have found some of the other stuff that led to the actual rebuild.

Worth lol

I am not sure exactly what all I need in terms of gaskets and what have you but I will get there. I saw an LML manifold for sale the other day but skipped on it.

Your basic manifold gaskets and anything the turbo touches. Like the copper washers for the feed line, the drain line gasket, May even find some of the coolant hoses need replacing. just depends. I know all the little rubber fuel lines were cracking on mine.

Considering maybe when I just do my EGR clean up I am going to pull the solenoid and try to clean it up as well as chase down the wiring and make sure that the wires ain't tore up anywhere. I am still on the solenoid or wiring is bad team rather than the turbo is bad. Replacing the solenoid as a parts toss kinda makes me nervous though. Wish I knew someone that had a known good solenoid to see what happens *cough* @1FastBrick *cough* *cough*

Worst comes to worst I pull the turbo later on and I have already done part of the job before so it will be smoother sailing.

You Cheap Bastard!!! You wont even buy those mats and now you want my sensor?

I don't know if mines good. I never got to drive the truck. I only moved it on and off the trailer. It had a hard code for the Glow plug module but I never got far enough to figure out if the was the actual module or something else like the glow plugs causing it. The mount was busted off in the accident when it got shoved into the firewall. A new Glow Plug module is on National back order.

No, I still drive it occasionally but crave more power... I do like the turbo spool up on it. The LLY had a slightly larger turbo than the LBZ. Not sure why they down sized it.

Been a while since I updated this. Since March I have not had a CEL at all. In the back round around that time I would have an intermittent P003A if I remember correctly which I also no longer have. It has been probably 6 months since I have had any codes at all.

Come winter we will see if it rears its ugly head again.
