P2653 p003a
Getting P2563 code and a random intermittent P003A code. Today the CEL went off, which interestingly enough it went off last week on Friday as well albeit in the morning. I believe the solenoid is stuck and causing the turbo to confuse itself. I took a video of the commanded vs actual vane positions and they seem to be working well based on something I saw the other day on how they are supposed to function. My working theory is that the solenoid is gummed up, tomorrow I will pull it and get it cleaned up.
Here is a video of the commanded vs actual, sorry for the shoddy camera work. mods change title to say p2563 pls and ty |
Do you see at 2:32-2:33 when everything goes to Zero and you still have 78%.... That's what pisses the computer off. I saw it at another point earlier to when it was around 25%

So what the solenoid just can’t keep up? I would imagine (using my imagination here) that if the vanes were sticky then the whole time it would be off.
|
Around 2:46 it goes low and you can see it still has voltage when commanding 2% and shows 3% actual.

The only rational cure is to pull that variable geometry witchcraft offa there, and go Compound:
S369 Into an S480 should about get ya started. |
The ecm will command a vein sweep every now and then to keep the controls mechanism from getting sooted up. That's why a lbz with an exhaust and no lb7 idle will make the whoosing and harrier jump jet sounds at idle occasionally.
|
@smokinlmm I need an exhaust lol but that has to wait until I figure this nonsense out
|
Got a 3.5” Borla XR1 laying around I’ll send ya if you just want to get rid of the muffler.
