oil change for diesel?

a buddy of mine has a diesel truck and he says the manual says it takes 15 quarts of oil, is this true? thx, its a 99 dodge diesel, sorry for not puttin it in the dodge section, they just dont get too many hits

yeah, dmax's are like 10, cummins are like 15 or so, and powerstrokes are 12 14 or 16. can't quite remember. Might have a top mount canister style filter too. Those are expensive so let him know so he doesnt freak out when he gets an outrageous price quote.
