I agree. I blew up my Lightning, and never even considered trying to warranty it. I feel the same towards my Dmax; if it breaks it's because I'm pushing it way past what it was built to do. I'm a big boy, and am willing to pay for my fun.

Glad to hear that, I cant afford a new motor right now so Ill stick to my punny tow tune for now.

Easy way around the ECM logging problem is just go to the junkyard, spend $50 and buy a new ECM.... Take your old one out and put the new one in, do a full flash to the new ECM and tune away... When and if warranty work comes up then just put the old ECM back in...

only problem with that is you'll have a truck with say 20000 miles that's only regen'd a handful of times. They'll know the ecm was swapped; it keeps track of how many times the truck has regen'd and that's one of the first things they look at when it comes into the dealer. It should regen pretty much once for every tank of gas average.

Of course, not sure what they can do with that info, and a lot of guys have swapped ecm's anyway.
