Default LMM D-max and 6l90

Well looks like you can get a LMM and 6l90 in the full size vans for 2010. http://archives.media.gm.com/us/powe...10truck_us.htm

Does any one know how GM gets the 6l90 to work with the D-max. Is it a standalone system?

The Vans had the 4l80 with the other D-maxs.

I talked to a GM eng. He said the 6l90 and LMM still uses the standard 6l80/90 controller internal to the trans itself. Although he was getting back to me to let me know what, exactly it uses from the engine as far as inputs to the TCM.

But at least if your swapping a D-max you can use the 6l90 now! It's smaller than the Allison.
