Its no secret the K&N lets more very fine dust by. Look at the flow numbers though. It flows more than twice as much air with the same restriction. The very fine dust that does get by will not hurt your engine. Thats like rubbing 5,000 grit sand paper on the cylinder walls. It would take you decades to do any noticable damage. In the mean time you will get better milage and power.
Whats wrong with that? My cummins has had its K&N for over 200k miles and it will go 200k more I'm sure.
