im looking to get my pops some upgrades for his '05 duramax but i dont know much about these diesels other then they're fun as hell to drive & plowing is easy as anything.... Beast

also the truck is 100% stock, what are typcally the 1st mods'???

 

either an inline tuner or a tuning suite such as hptuners or efilive is going to give you the best bang for the buck.

 

what if i kno nothing about tuning???
it is plug & play?

Get him an exhaust, tuner, then an intake, The factory intake is not terribly restictive, but every bit helps.
