why not an older 2500 suburban with the 8.1 liter? I'm sure that could be had for 15k and pocket the 5k for more trips to the lake

Just an update. Found a good deal on a 2008 Dodge 2500 4X4 Cummings 6.7L I6 and went ahead and traded the GTO in for it. 69K miles. A few bumps and scratches, but nothing major.


I will test it's towing capability in about a month.

Looks good. The cummins should treat you well. Its easy to do a dpf delete exhaust on those for more mpg, but i would keep it stock until the warranty is up. Be careful adding much power through tuning with the stock transmission unless you are ready for an upgrade.
