Duramax pilots in SoCal, California Speedway this Sat!
#1
Bunch of the area diesel lunatics are meeting at the dragstrip at California Speedway this Saturday (Jan 13) to show the gas guys they've been putting the wrong stuff in their tanks. Kat (wifey) will be running Wendy, and hopefully I will be running Casper (still working on). Should be at least a dozen Dmaxes.
Good time to tie in with your area Duramax owners, either to race or just BS. 2007 will be a very interesting year for diesel performance, so might as well set your benchmark ET's.

Track was in terrible shape, but we had 13 Duramaxes racing putting a hurt on the local rice.
A GTO hit the wall HARD due to slick conditions, as did an import. GTO driver went to the hospital, and his car was still at the track Sunday, so he must have gotten banged up.
It was great hanging out with all the diesel lunatics, and even though 1 or 2 passes was all the trucks got, it was fun.
Casper spun 1,2,3 gear and finally hooked in 4th. 2.06 60' (new personal worst) still netted a 12.0 at 119.9 for the quickest diesel honors. Wendy didn't hook much better and could only muster a 13.2 for the quickest "tune only" honors. Several trucks in the 13's though which was better than most vehicles.
