Default Allison tranny upgrade

I added an Edge Attitude module and the TCM (Transmission Control Module) didn't last long, so that needs to be replaced. What upgrades can I do to make the tranny hold up with out having to change it?

The truck is an 06 Duramax/Allison ECSB 4x4.

The best upgrade fpr you besides having a Perf. build is to install a Transgo JR shift kit.

The 6 speed allison is stronger than the 5 speed, and with the JR kit can hold about an addition 100 horse power.

How did the Edge fry the TCM ???

I don't know if that was the culprit for the TCM going out or not.

How hard is that shift kit to put in?

Easier on the Allison than a 4L60E if ya ask me LOL.
Just remove the valve body , put iyt on the table, follow the instructions, and slap it back in.

Its been 3 years since ive done it, search Shift kit on thedieselplace.com . should be some helpful how to's there.
