8.1 plug/wire change---question
#1
ok, just got done with the 41-101's gapped @ .045, and put on taylor 409 wires at the same time. idles smooth (factory exhaust so it's quiet as a mouse but i don't hear any miss or feel it at idle in drive or park), when i rev to about 2800-3000, seems like there is a slight vibration..
this may be a dumb question, but do these engines just have that bit of vibration when you rev like that in neutral? would i get a ses light if i had a miss? double checked all the wires, drove around the block- i think it is smooth, but that vibration makes me wonder if i have a miss now?? haven't gotten up to highway speeds yet.
will change the t-stat next to the recommended upgrade, any suggestions on brands that are either good or bad?

when we did plugs and wires on brads 8.1 it took a few hundred miles to run normal again... not sure if its in the computer or what... Also if you have big hands like me double check the plug wires. i had a hard time getting the boot on the end of the plug all the way.

Anyway to log it?? HPT efiLive? If you're in Park or Neutral while revving it then it probably is the rev limiter just starting to kick. Could be a bunch of things...double check the plug boots as said above and also make sure the wires are clear from any metal..etc.
