Question 8.1 exhaust questions

Hey all I am the FNG here. I have a 2002 shortbox extended cab chev with the 8.1 and the Allison. I am always pulling a 20ft gooseneck stock trailer full of cattle and horses. I need some exhaust work, well a new muffler or two anyway. I would like something that sounds good but wont make my horses deaf and wont resonate too much in the cab. If you guys could point me in the right direction I sure would appreciate it. I come from the straight piped cummins world ( until they went to the 6.7) so loud isnt the problem its the rasp that I dont like i guess.
Well I have rambled enough I guess, and I would like to thank you all in advance.

Tim

They arent too raspy? I read on another thread in here that that was a real raspy sound to it. I will look for one though.

i do have the extra tail pipe but on the sububran they turn and exit behind the wheel, i think on the trucks they are more angled. if i remember correctley the 8.1 are dual in and out of the muffler then Y into the tail pipe or at least mine was but its a 2001. so you should be able to get away with just installing the muffler. and the shop might have to ad some tubing to make it fit. those stock mufflers are like 5 feet long! lol...

Ill get you some photos today..

I wouldnt think shipping would be bad. ill see how much it weights..
