I have developed a miss in my 05 8.1. We put the scan tool on and it seems be a misfire sometimes on cylinder 5. I have a 5.3 sitting on a stand, so I grabbed a coil pack from it to swap. That didn't fix the problem. Are the coil packs the same? Physically they are the same.

When it cools down I am gonna pull the plug. Plugs and wires were replaced less than 10K ago with Taylor wires and AC 993's gapped at .045.

Wondering if the coil packs are the same though so I can rule out a bad coil.

do you know how to check for resistance on the wires? Also it aint hard to crack a plug by mistake. I always try moving parts around and see if the issue follows. then if it stays it is something mechanical or possible injector
