GM warranty wont cover ANYTHING electronic (yes, these means sensors which make the powertrain operate) and im curious to see how bad ill have to fight em if I did have a mechanical fallure...but your dealor lied to you. If you alter the vehicle any (lift, program, exhaust, etc) they weasel out of honoring the warranty

Talking LML full tuning, it's here!

EFILive just announced in the forum, yesterday afternoon that they are almost finished with tuning capability for the LML. Pretty cool.

LML full tuning, it's here!!

I am about to buy my first Duramax after using my in-law's truck, and was wanting a 2013 model. Been driving a 1999 5.3L Silverado. The diesel bug has bit HARD.

Now that EFI Live has cracked them I hope Hptuners won't be too far behind getting into these PCMs as well.

Not being able to delete the emissions stuff makes that pretty useless. One of the best things about custom tunes is getting better mpg from ditching the emissions crap.

I'm sure that an enterprising enthusiast could find something from Canada or another country that would allow them to delete everything

EFI Live still has the capability of tuning out DPF and whatnot as far as I know but they are not based out of the US so they don't have to deal with the EPA and all that nonsense, at least that's what I heard about it anyways. The story I got was Hptuners was getting pressure from the EPA and supposedly would had ended up in deep sh*t if they didnt remove the capability to remove DPF from the software.

Well I take back my previous statement about being able to delete all of the emissions BS with efi live. From what I read it looks like that will all be disabled to any versions of efi live that are sold in the US.

So since I already have efi if I buy another lmm will I be able to delete the dpf or are all new updates removing that ability from the older trucks too?
