I had a 79 GMC that had a Diesel, it was based on the oldsmolbile 350 engine i believe.What a turd!

Actually, the first was the Oldsmobile Derived 5.7 in 1978, and the Detroit Diesel designed 6.2 which arrived in 1982.

If I where to put a diesel in that body, I would try like hell to put a Durmax/Alison setup in there ..
