My 05 duramax went down with a bad oil pump. I have a good 02 duramax
motor. I was told it would work if I used the 05 wiring harness. I am asking if anyone knowes if this is true? If not, what want work about it?

i think that the harnesses are different because the LLY has external injectors were as the LB7 the injectors are internal

 

i'm pretty sure he's right.

 

 

just talked to a guy that did a 05 in his 02, said he had to change about every harness in the truck, the computer,tcm, the dash and all its compents( cluster,a/c etc) so it doesnt seem very worth it to me

 

Rick still has an 05 duramax for sale I think.
