Can my older PCM support the LSA/ZL1 BAR 3 MAP sensor?

I would think so but not 100% on the LSA MAP.

For sure a 2 bar cobalt map sensor will work and that's good for 14-15psi of boost. Always run the same OS for the MAP sensor you are using, keeps things simple.

I already have the ZL1 BAR 3 MAP sensors....I would have to buy the Cobalt SS 2 BAR MAP.

OP: On most ECMs of that year, the IAT sensor is Pin 37 or 62 (tan/black wire). If you tell me your VIN I can tell you exactly. On the MAF connector it could be pin B or D (still a tan wire).

Ford, if you look at the upgrade options for your PCM it will tell you 2 or 3bar. If yours is a cable TB, its most likely 3bar in which case the ZL1 sensor should be fine, although do you really expect to be pushing 15psi+ of boost with that little blower? The later 04-07 PCMs are mostly only 2bar.

If you need tuning assistance I would be glad to help

Mine is DBW.

I seriously doubt I will push more than 14 psi, but the point was to use my existing ZL1 MAP sensor(s).

on NNBS keep the MAF but go 2 bar and dial in the VE table too. It will be the best of both worlds.

I don't think the operating system cares if it is a 2 or 3 bar MAP. As long as it properly reads vacuum and boost, it should work fine.

I have a LS3 style card maf integrated into my intake. I used a polynomial regression to convert the MAF calibration to the correct columns since the hz labeling is different in EFI Live. It pays to keep a MAF around as an option in an emissions state so the inspectors don't bitch.

The 2 bar option on the GEN 4 computer can be nice but you can totally do everything with the regular VVE editor. They allow you to use the stock VVE like a 2-3 bar setup with a simple change of the MAP axis.

Either way works and many computers don't have a 2 bar OS upgrade anyway.
