Default WWII dodge 6x6 ideas

this 1943 dodge 1.5 ton 6x6 was given to me after my great grandpa passed away. i pulled it out of the pasture where it had been sitting for at least 25 years. i have been trying to figure out what to do with it and would like some options. only idea i have has was to put a suburban 4x4 running gear under it and drive it around for fun.

a. have it as yard decoration

b. restore it

c. put a newer running gear under it and drive it

d. other

A bad *** v8 would be cool, but a 6bt would make it a bit more economical. Can you get road reg on that, or will it be an offroad toy?

Restore it and make it a parade rig IMO. Not many of those things left around in that kinda shape. Either way around I wouldn't retire it as a yard ornament.

that would make a "different" rat rod and be cheaper on the restore. lose the fenders, narrow the bed and lay frame!

some more info about it my great grandpa built the cab out of left over barn wood 30 years ago. i think it has held up well and even stayed on going down the hwy at 65mph. the bed is off a different military truck so this thing probley will not go back fully original.

6bt and 4bt has crossed my mind along with a fuel injected 6.0 haha. i haven't checked in to getting a tittle for it yet. i guess if i cant it will just be an offroad toy and a parade rig.

put some big *** bags on it to where you can lift it up 1' then....pull in looking like a badass lifted military truck, then throw it in park and slam that bitch to the ground. i think it would get some funny looks. you could just put a fender well in the bed and nobody would know any different.
