so I haven't been on here in a while, but today I'm glad I did. I got a s/c truck and built the trans even before driving it. 2k miles later tranny blows. My guy says it the stock clutch drums....can't get an aftermarket one....seems like you could go to a machine shop and them make a sturdy piece, but oh well.
reason for my comment though is your truck is really great looking. I love where you got the shifter for the tremec. I think it's awesome you put that in. What'd you do with the stock trans shifter? Leave or remove

I would like to thank everyone on the site who nominated and voted for me to be TOTQ.
I bought my truck in 06 from the dealer with 15k miles on it, i had only planned on doing exhaust, CAI and a programmer.
Here are some of the oldest pics i have.
Very soon after getting my truck i got backed into so insurance paid for a new bumper and grille.
I also added 2/4 drop kit and roll pan.
I then bought a p-1sc procharger kit for the 5.3 and about a year later the engine died after going through 3 4l60e trans.
Before i did my LQ9 6.0 i bought and mod'd SSS cladding to fit my truck, also added a cowl hood, BSER roll pan, ISS spoiler and Boss 330 rims.
I then upgraded to a Lq9 6.0 and 4L80e.
Around 2 years later i pulled the 4L80e and bought a tremec T-56 Magnum, soon after the Lq9 6.0 blew up.
Truck currently has a 408 with F-1a Prochager and tremec T-56 magnum
