+1 for electrical tape and chop saw.. Teflon line ss line is a major pain in the *** with the ferals.

Yep and the funny thing is you want it to fray due to those damn ferals.

Another option, Sharpened chisel, large hammer and the flat spot on a bench vise. Wrap the spot you want to cut with electrical tape, use the sharpened chisel and a large hammer and you get a straight clean cut every time. Saw an older guy use this method when plumbing a race boat. Done it a few times and it works great.

I used a chop saw with a metal blade. Electric tape and whack it quickly. Came out perfect. The nice thing about cutters is no rubber. Dust.
