what size/type of air compressor are you guys using at home?

Default what size/type of air compressor are you guys using at home?

looking to get a new compressor for when I feel like doing jobs at the house, what do you guys use?

we have a 1.5 gal and 5 gal and they do alright. i would say they are nice for being portable but bigger the better imo. spend as much as you can.

i use a 4 gallon from harbor freight.. it hooked to about a 100ft of pvc 3in pipe around the shop as aa supply line for air tools and it works great as long as you dont need major CFM

Ihave been in the compressor business for over 40 years and a home owner air compressor is very diffrent than a good shop compressor. Stay away from oil free direct drive compressors they use beer can for piston liners.Try to buy belt driven cast iron oil luberacated using 1800 rpm electric motor.One of the best made is Puma brand,also curtis,saylor beale,champion,they are not cheap but will run for many years.Ihope this little information helps,walt

i just have a little 80 gallon 5hp ingersol rand for my 2 car garage 180 psi and 80 gallons lasts a LONG time regulated at 90psi.

here it is when i got it home. heavy bastard!!!!
