Default Carshow CS GM1210 in my 2013 ECSB

So I picked up one of these head units because it looks factory and has all the options I wanted including NAV for a reasonable cost. Looks great and pretty easy to operate. I was running it with a stock non Bose system and the sound was upgraded a bit. Now where the issues started, I decided I wanted more bass so I went to a stereo shop to have a sub and amp installed, I ended up getting a 5 channel amp incase I wanted to run more than 1 sub in the future ( was getting 1 10" Pioneer in a box). Also I decided I wanted a set of Hertz components installed in the front doors. When I picked up my truck and listed to it I was very disappointed in the sound quality. The sub ended up being an 8" because the 10 wouldn't fit and sounded like it was ready to blow. The Hertz speakers sounded a bit clearer than the stock non Bose speakers but I was expecting to be blown away. And to top it off if I turned up the volume very high the speakers would stop working and I would have to turn off the stereo and turn it back on to get it working again.
I went to a couple shops and they all said the deck is the main issue since the volts from the pre outs aren't very high like a Pioneer or other name brand unit. I had the shop order me a custom box for 2 10's under the rear seat and that should help but I am afraid it will never sound right unless they are able to do something with the head unit.
Can some of you stereo guys chime in with your opinion of what I should do, my 02 RCSB had a Kicker 3 ch. amp running 2 10" Kicker subs and some low end JL Audio components with a basic single din Pioneer deck and it was 10X better sounding than what I have now at 1/2 the cost.

That's odd. I have the same head unit in my Silverado. It has two amps. one to mids and highs, the other to a box under the seat. It sounds good.

Not what I'm used to but does sound good nevertheless. Not sure I understand why that is happening.

Shop says they will install a line driver and that should help alot. Also adding 2 10 ' s today to even it all out. If this doesn't work next step is to change out head unit. I got a free Pioneer head unit from a friend but after all needed wires and install it's more than just adding the line driver to the Carshow unit. Crossing fingers

A line driver will help not only boost the signal, but give a cleaner signal
