Im in the market for a diesel truck. I dont know much about them thats why im asking. Im also posting this in the Ford area. But were there any year dodge trucks that had motor problems from the factory or trans issues. Im selling my 08 to get out of a high car note. Just dont want to buy a problem child. Thanks for any help.

 

If your lookin to make any power out of the truck i would go with a manual for any year. The 2nd gen motors are nice. I have a friend that built a 800hp pulling truck and hasent had any motor problems, only stuff with the drivetrain. The 3rd gen have the manual mode which is nice but im not a cummins guy. I would go for a 06 LBZ Duramax.
