Electric fan upgrade

I bought my 05+ fans on ebay for about $250 as I recall. Then I got the nelson fan harness and had them activate my ecu to turn it on.
I will say that the a/c at idle/in town is improved due to the better airflow, whereas before when I sat at idle for a while I'd need to rev up to 1500-1800 to get enough air moving for the a/c to work.

Can't you take a file from a later model truck, with efans, tweak to your tune settings then do a write entire to your PCM..........

The pin required to operate the e-fans on 2005+ models are not used on 2003-2004 models. 1999-2002 models use the pin to command the high fans to come on, for the HVAC control. So for those trucks it is not as simple. Also, it is not advisabel to flash a newer file to an older ECM, there could be compatability issues.

Have you looked in the Part Number sticky in the GM General Discussion section?
