I just did the stainless brake lines. Bleeding the ABS electronically seem to make a bigger difference. If you rubber lines are in good shape, I would keep them. Otherwise, Rockauto has oem replacements for cheap.

Yeah rubber lines are good from what i can tell. Think I'll just have all the hard lines replaced when I get the truck towed in eventually.

Yeah this truck has been testing my patience lately but im sticking with it. No matter how much I wanna just sell it sometimes, Ill never get anything worth while for it thanks to the rust. So it will just be completely sleeper looking eventually with the rust, dents, and it constantly being dusty/muddy thanks to my gravel road.

Well, another setback with this truck of mine. Started getting this death wobble/vibration in the front end/steering wheel when I hit some rough road. I'm in the process of trying to figure it out now. Im beginning to wonder again, if maybe it's time to just cut my losses and sell it for something in much better condition.

I have been having the death wobble on my truck for a while. After replacing the pitman arm, idler arm and support it still continued to wobble some. I installed a steering stabilizer and that solved all of the problems i was having.

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been a year and a half since I posted and update here.

For the most part I've just been driving the truck and enjoying it for what it is. At this point, the turbo kit will not be installed on this truck. It has cost me too much money just to keep it on the road. With the rust that this truck now has, It's just not worth it knowing at some point it's not going to be road worthy. The only upgrades it will receive will be ones that are needed to keep it my beater vehicle.

For example, one of my spider gears in the open diff decided that it had enough of my one tire fire shenanigans and gave out. It stripped all the teeth down at least half way, and in most cases completely. This gave me reason to finally get my truetrac, moser girdle cover and studs installed. Unfortunately my DJM sway bar doesn't even come close to clearing the Moser cover.

I still have a transgo HD2 kit, servos and 40k laying around that I'll have installed eventually. Other than that, and maybe finding a new sway bar to clear the cover, I'm done with this truck. I will still update this thread periodically as things go on with the truck. I do still have the turbo kit, but I'm in the process of finding a newer 5.3 6-speed truck to use it on.
