Depends how much you wanna spend and what the rest of the setup is. Are you looking for aftermarket or just want a good stock replacement that will optimize your setup?

What year is the vehicle?

243/799 heads are great upgrade over the 706/826 heads.

What's wrong with the current ones on your truck now?

If it already has 799/243 heads on it, I'd clean them up and run them.

Did you over heat it or something? That's usually the only time I see that.

I'm different but I'd still run those heads if you have no other issues.

I come from the 3800 world before these trucks and I can bet you 80% of the engines out there have cracks between the valves and the owners don't even know it. New threads pop up every now and then when someone sends them off for cleaning or polish work and after a magnaflux the cracks show up. It doesn't change how the head performs so they bolt them down anyway.
