Best overall cam for a 5.3?
So I'm going with Brian Tooley Racing's DoD delete kit in my '07 and possibly one of their cams, opinions on the Stage 2 vs Stage 3?
Stage II - Specs are 212/218 .553/.553 113+2
Stage III - Specs are 218/224 .553/.553 113+3
Otherwise if I don't go with one of their cams what would be my best option? Looking for more power overall but my truck seems to be lacking down low (it won't be once I regear for my 35" tires) though it also feels like the weight of the lifted truck catches up to it in the higher RPM's so an overall wide powerband increase would be great if possible... opinions?

There is no best overall cam. It varies greatly by application, weight, gearing, tire size, etc etc etc. The BTR stage 2 coupled with a Circle-D 278mm unit would make for a great daily driver setup in a truck on 35's with the right gearing.

What about this VINCI cam?
DUR @ .004" 278*/ 286*
DUR @ .050" 216*/ 224*
LIFT .551/.551
LSA 115*

Vinci cams are great, but the general consensus for your application is gonna be any cam with 212-220 duration and they will all perform similar. You need torque so i would keep it small.

More lift and less duration = torque right? I saw the BTR cam is advertised as low lift, should I be looking at one with more lift? Or BTR cam with different rockers and pushrods?

The Vinci Trucker as well as the 212/218 cams have been tried and true setups for a decade.
