Anyone using piston oil sprayers?
I am doing a new build for my Silverado that has gotten out of control. Needless to say, when my current motor was disassembled the diamond pistons I had were out of spec and 2 of them had scoring on the skirts. I am wondering if it was caused by heat from the turbo setup.
Someone brought these to my attention.
400-050 Piston Spraying Jet [] - $425.00 : BLP Products
Blp makes a kit to install piston oil sprayers. I have been driving semi's in Alaska for 15 years now. And I know diesels are not the same but all the cat engines I have ran always use piston sprayers to reduce heat and add oil lubrication.
I am wondering if a guy had his bearing tolerances set properly and had the melling hi pressure hi volume pump if this could be very beneficial to me? I also can only get 90 octane fuel here, but I spray meth when I get to the higher boost levels.
So, is anyone running these or had any experience with them? I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on a set.

Well. After a lengthy talk with Mike Laws (guy who creates this kit) about this, I am going to order these and have them installed at the machine shop. That way they can clean the block again.
Haven't seen much information from anyone one here about these, but I will post a build thread once I get a little farther into my build.
