ive had over 100 vehicles in last 10 years and usually only keep cars about 6 months max.

ive had my 01 silverado 1500 since 2008 and have no plan of getting rid of it any time soon. i love it that much. well over 200k miles on it.

im still in the search of a NBS truck. I really like the Avalanche. its style is growing on me. Cant believe its so difficult to find a well taken care of NBS that someone doesnt want $20k for. Seems like everyone is asking a premium for these old trucks.

located a 2006 Avalanche I plan to go look at over the weekend. has about 75k miles on it and one owner. its a 4x4 with Z71 package and leather interior. from the pictures is looks well taken care of.

my issue................they are asking $17k!! That is high right?

I bought a 2007 classic crew 5.3 w/30k miles in 2010 for 14,200, at the time blue book value. Today it blue books the same 5 years older and now at 70k miles. The economy has come back and people are asking even more than blue book value so the deals are hard to find especially for a decent truck.

I have an 03, 07-classic and had an 04 nbs. From what I've seen and worked on the 07-13 trucks are cheap quality. Sounds like the 2014+'s are the way to go if looking new, but a NBS if looking used. Try to find one on the west coast that isn't salted out, only problem is most are vatozoned. 05-07classic preferred, but 03-04 is good too.

I highly recommend the nbs. I drove my 2004 CCSB Z-71 new off of the lot in September of 2004. I especially like the bucket seats/captains chairs that it came with as they are just like in a SS but they are cloth not leather. I've been able to keep the mileage low too. Right now it is sitting at 21,126 original miles.

Had my 04 since late 2009 and I wont give it up. My wife has mention down the road replacing it. I told her we'll replace the enging but, not the truck.

well i have been shopping around. Pretty much looking for an Avalanche now. I've had a Sierra and Silverado and S10 already. Problem is these things arent cheap and seem to be higher mileage. One im looking at has nearly 100k miles, its a 2006 Avalanche 1500 Z71 4x4. its very clean. but from what i have been reading these trucks seem to need new transmissions, transfer case, diffs and other parts after the 100k mile mark. They have the truck listed for $15k.

I bought mine back in 09 with 95+ on it and have put another 90 on it since. All these GM's are gonna have the ususal stupid issues but that mileage is not the problem.
