thinking of going true duals
I have a nnbs 4.8, with lt's,no cats, dynoed at just under 350rwhp, with heavy 22's. I currently run a 3" y-pipe, into a super 44. While it does sound good at times, I could use a little quieter set up. I am thinking of going true 3" duals with an x-pipe, and 20" magnaflows. Is the 3" overkill or would like 2.5" be better. I do plan on a few more na mods to get me too the 400hp mark.

if your just looking for a quieter setup you could just swap muffles. i went from a flowmaster 50 series to a magnaflow and it toned it down alot. no more drone on the in the cab, but a nice deep sound outside. and i think a single 3' exhaust is rated to like 450-500 hp, so you should be good with that. Im sure true duals with an x pipe will have a different sound, but sound good at the same time
also whats your setup? cause 350rwhp from a 4.8, im sure your truck rolls out

I have a custom cam, lsxrt, double springs, pushrods, CAI, built trans, 3200 stall, 2 piece driveshaft, 4.11 gears w/truetrac, probably more hard to keep track sometimes. I was thinking a true dual with xpipe may gain some low end, from my research. But trucks are much heavier. Thanks
