Default 06 silverado crew cab performance

ok i have an 06 silverado with a 5.3l what performance upgrades do u guys recomend from heads cam gears converter ect...... it is bone stock right now and gas milage is not somthing i am worried about and i really dont wanna do an engine swap

What kind of money are you wanting to spend and what do you plan on doing with the truck

I don't have a budget yet and its a daily driver with occasional towing and I kit the strip here and there.

Do the simple mods first. Intake, exhaust, and a tune. it will fill like a different truck after that. And go from there.

Well it has the basics I'm trying to get it on the same level as my dodge with heads cam gears and a tranny but I am not very familiar with the 5.3 I find stuff for the ls but not the 5.3s

well you said it was bone stock so...what have you done to is so far?
Give Richard over at WCCH a call for some P&P heads. A cam in the 22x range (Thunder Racing has a nice kit with a 224/224 cam) and a 2600 stall will set you up nicely. And you can still tow.

K&n intake diablo predator 3" exhaust headers is next but that's pretty much it. I'm also looking for horse power

What r they doing for performance heads? I heard of people using the L92/LS7 heads on them doese that work or is it to hectic

click on the west coast cylinder head banner to the right of this page. Their LS6 head will be a very nice upgrade and you can still use your stock intake. If you did the L92 set up then you would have to swap the the L92 intake manifold.
