The stock converter is always a hard one as the stock cam could use a 3K converter. 6.0's do fend better tho. I've done some 210/216's , 532/.532, 108 and 110 lsa's that work well in stock converter 5.3~6.0 cc trucks. If it's a rc or ex cab you could stretch it out to the 214/216, .532/.532, 108 or go 110 lsa if you want a little smoother idle. Id stay away from anything wider than 112 lsa in a NA truck unless looking for a really smooth idle, or emissions.

depends on what you want to do...my 2500 HD crew cab on 33" tires is a heavy sluggish turd that I use as the work horse. 212/218 on a 110 LSA 106 ICL should improve my daily cruise and towing ability. i don't give a damn if i lose power past 4,000 rpm as long as i gain between 1,500-3,500 rpm.

A lot of people say a 212/218 is too small for a 6.0 which is not true maybe too small for the drag racer but it does produce good gains and pulls to 6000. It drives 100% like stock and has enough low end to blow the tires off with a stock converter. I think too small is the wrong word Id say more likely most would want to go bigger down the road. However op if your planning a stall and bigger cam later id step up a size or two now my lq4 ran just fine when i had 224 on 112 with a 4l60e stock converter with a mail order tune.

Some may have towing concerns and I get that, but generally the idea of a cam swap is to gain performance. The more cubes you have the more cam you can run. The 212/218 cam in a 6.0 is a baby cam. I have a 5.7 LS1 in my GTO and run a 230/236 cam. I make 300 torque by 1500 rpm. While I realize this is not an apples to oranges comparison, my point is don't be scared to put a modest size cam in a 6.0. The BTR truck stage III would get the nod if I had a 6.0 truck. Just my humble opinion.

The tsp220 is a proven cam..makes great tq and some higher end hp..ive also had a few people recommend a lunati .217/.223 for my truck..as i im wanting a little bit of worlds but mainly TQ...i havent seen any dyno graphs with the lunati though

i've been contemplating the Vinci Trucker or BTR Stage 3 for my RCSB (stock 5.3, 5speed, 4x4 with LTs/ORY, 4.30 gears, & 33"s). one of the guys at BTR actually suggested the Stage 2 instead since i occasionally tow.
at that point, though, wouldn't i be better off with the normal low lift Comp 212/218? either way, considering the 4.30s and manual trans (better gearing than a 4l60), wouldn't a 216/224 still be fine?
it don't stop... it just all gets spent on her

Anyone concerned about all around street power should check out the 6.0L hop up article from HotRod mag from years ago. They tested a multitude of cams in a 6.0L and the results were that the best all around cam was the Vinci 080 which is 210/218 if I recall correctly. It produced (by far) the most useable power off idle to 4800 rpm.
