I spun a little bit, and reaction was .555. on the first run I pulled up a little far so I put it in reverse to move back and the guy just started the light left me with a 1.2 reaction because I was in reverse. Second time I was a little sketchy that it would happen again so my reaction was off a bit

The ET doesnt start until both beams are broken. Reacting time has no effect on ET, it just plays into who gets to the end first.

The gears are killing your truck..some 4.10s along with a custom tune will help a lot.. some slicks would help too..for the record my crewcab 4wd vmax only ran a 14.99 with 33s, stock 17s, and 4.10s..(had problems smoking the tires) now im tuned with longtubes and im looking for some sticky tires..hoping for high 13s

How much did it cost you to swap to 410's both front and back? Dynotune, 2800 stall, and slicks on my stock 16's are in the near future. What do you think I could be looking at then as far as 1/4 mile et's go?

Agreed, that sixty foot time is horrible.

Don't fear the gear, throw some 4.56s in it. Should be a whole different animal after that.

My truck came with 4.10s..its a vortecmax and some of those truck came with either 4.10s or 3.73s....so you ran a 16.4 before right? With a good slick, stall, tune you MIGHT be stepping into the 14s..with gears id definitley see you in the 14s....thats my estimate anyways

How much do you think 4:10s would put me back mileage wise? And what highway rpm would I be running

So mine would be worse with the 5.3?

Id say it would be about the same maybe a little better seeing how a 5.3 is smaller motor..it also depends on what size tire and wheel you run and how much you are lifted if any..i have 33x12.50s on stock 17s....now if i cruise at 60-65 mph running around 1800-1900 rpm it gets around 15-16 mpg..when it crosses over 2000 rpm the mpg drops like a prom dress to 12-13 mpg
