Default How much gear for a mid 230's cam?

I have a cam with a 236 intake duration, low .6XX lift cam in a 11-1 6.0 liter. It's designer told me to shift at or around 67-6800. At the track i use a 28x10.5 Hoosier slick. I am pondering what ratio gear would be best for a 2wd street/strip RCSB truck that does VERY minor towing. I haul a very light ski boat a max of like 80 miles and a small trailer with quads probably about that same distance. I want to get the most out of my cam at the strip but I also still wanna be able to use the truck. a 4.30 will give me a crusing speed of about 2500 at 70 mph in overdrive but if I have to drop down to direct drive its gonna be wrapping the **** out of my truck on the highway. right now I have 3.73's and it runs about 2100 at 75 mph. I'm awaiting the track to open so I can pull some spray passes and to see some numbers. If I can run in the high to mid 11's on spray, mid to low 13's on motor I'll be happy. I don't wanna go any faster then 11.50, cause our track is very strick and won't let me come back to race with out a cage. What kinda gearing would you guys suggest.

A 430 or 456 should get you close to that in 3rd gear, crossing the traps.. Thats just a guesstiment, I didn't plug the numbers into a calc.. I was crossing the traps at about 5500 in 3rd with the same height tires, 410s if I remember correctly..

If I can get it into the times I'm looking for on my present gear I'm probably gonna leave it. Is that a pipe dream?

Do you wanna pull your trailers in 3rd and not in overdrive? I wouldn't worry about how high the motor would be spinnin in 3rd on the highway. I think it would pull your trailers just fine in overdrive with say a 4.30 gear. And thats what i would recommend. If your planning on running 11's i think you might run out of gear with the 4.56's. A 4.10 would also work good for your app. BTW, how much spray you plan on runnin? If you run a low 13 all motor and you wanna see a mid 11 you'd prob need at least a 175 to get close.

I'm running 150 RWHP shot, that is equivalent to about 185hp th the crank. With my old setup it dropped at least 1.5 sec off my e.t. I'm hoping with the extra compression, displacement and cam in the 6.0 I will get at least that much or more.
