I don't see where you are getting 5-8k for a turbo kit, we've done them for less than 1000 bucks although they arent gonna win you a car show (minus injectors, pump(s), tuning)

I run a 260 dollar chinese turbo on my truck, check my sig for times.

I believe his times and that he runs a stock motor. **** my friend made 640rwhp with a stock 4.8 turbo + zr1 cam and spray in his fairmont. I pulled that motor out of the junkyard it looked like hell on the outside.
i promise you wont put one a lightning for under $6k. this is all i can think of for me to go turbo and do it right

Turbo
blow off valve
piping for turbo
custom built headers- guess $1,000- 1,500
custom grind turbo cams $700-1000
injectors- $400-500
upgraded fuel lines, hat, rails and pumps, filter $1,500-2,000
new stall- $1,000-1,200
new exhaust or pipe into my setup
custom tune $500+

i might be off alittle on some prices but most are correct

Seems like you could reuse your current injectors, fuel system, and stall, and probably the cams on a turbo build. The only new thing you would need is the turbo and pipes, and you could recover a lot of that cost by selling your blower...

no 60s isnt near enough for a turbo setup. atleast need 80s or 105s. my fuel system is maxed out where iam right now. my fuel system is only good for around 680rwhp. my stall is a 2400 and works great for the whipple but wount move this pig with a turbo need about a 3200-3400. i could probably use the cams to a certain extent. honestly i think ive gone to far with the supercharger to turn back now. i need a complete fuel system with rails, more boost and tune adjusted and with a 100 shot run in the 9s with a daily driver. at this point im not that far off except spending the money lol

sorry foose for the thread to be robbed.

Back on the Foose build...

Are you spraying that dry shot on your iat so it sees the chilling effect?

The nitrous is pre-temp sensor, but I don't see any real changes in the logs. It is only a 30shot though trying to mix in with a large volume of warm air. It can't hurt though.

As for the thread robbing, no worries man!

Vary nice times man! This gos to show what can really be done when the right parts are put together, and some vary good tuning aswell. I think most people give up and move on to something bigger before ever finding out what it can really do. If I remeber right you started out with mid lower 11s and now 10.3s with nothing more then a turbo swap done to the engine.

Just had to go grab mine and take a look since I have not made it to the 'Street Heat' section yet. Sure enough, there's Rob's truck with a nice write-up. Congrats Rob! You have done something impressive with that RST.
