Default Proud new owner of a 2007 Silverado Vortec Max

just recently bought a Vortec Max and now im getting antsy. i wanna start doing some mods to it but not sure where to go. Now i have read elsewhere that the heads off an Escalade or Denali would bolt right on to my 6.0L and then with a decent intake and cam i could possibly make 450hp or better. i dont plan on using it for anything other than my own daily driver...but i still want a pavement pounder. any suggestions or routes on where to start would be great...thanks all!!

Congrats on the new Vmax

I would start with the following:
exhaust
intake
tune
cam
stall, shift kit
heads (not sure how much esky's would net you, if any??)

any brand names you would suggest? i have delt with comp cams and AFR heads before on other GM applications and was pretty happy with the results and im sure it would transfer to this truck, just not sure whats popular with this truck and actually didnt know GM made a Vortec Max pickup until i came across this one.

First get a tune to take off all the horrible TM and 4 sec delay to make it more driveable. Than start with your bolt ons cause most tuners will offer free re-tunes.

Is your 07 a classic (LQ9) or a new body style (L76)?
