Default Cam Swap Nnbs

I am about to do a cam swap and wanted to run these part numbers to see
if they are correct. I know that the timing cover is right because it is a common one between a corvette, gto, and non-VVT 5.3. The GM Cover comes with the gasket, cam sensor, harness, and front seal. The question I have is the 4x cam gear, #12586481, only fits a 6.0 corvette and not anything else.
Is this the right gear that I need? I also planned on getting the gear to camshaft bolts. Do you guys replace the rocker cover gaskets when replacing
the springs or just reuse them? I planned on reusing the timing chain and crank gear but will I need a different chain tensioner? I read somewhere that it also required a different chain tensioner. Keep in mind that my truck is currently a VVT engine.

My truck has the cam phaser actuator which changes the cam timing from 17 degrees advanced to 45 degrees retarded. Performance enhancements included through exhaust gas recirculation, wider torque range, fuel mileage, and idle stability. The actuator is a pulse width modulated and controls the amount of oil flow to two passages, advance and retard. I'm eliminating that and my timing cover has the cmp actuator mounted on my timing cover. I don't think I'll have enough clearance with it there and if I remove it I'll have the hole.

Yes that is the cam gear you need. The rocker cover gaskets are reusable, they will be fine. I did not change anything with the tensioner, it worked with the cam gear with no issues. Tie wrap up the vvt actuator connector so it does not get in any pulley. You will also need to disable the P0010 code, the first one, with HPT or other software. It is for the vvt actuator and will throw a code when it is not connected.
