a friend of mine just bought an 06 2500 4 door 4x4 Cummins.
he's looking into getting the biggest exhaust they make for it, and wants a tune.
what exhaust has the best gain for his truck, and is it possible to get a custom tune for his truck?

he's going to level it off instead of lift it right now. what's the best way to level the front off?

he's in the process of getting a house so he's spending his money wisely.
it only has 22k on it, it's a D.D.

Thanks.

Banks is real common among diesels. It has great gains.. They make full turbo back exhaust and tunes, edge is also a good diesel tuner

For the tuner go with a SMARTY MADS tuner

and my buddy and I just put some 7" stacks on his 06 3500 dodge and a SMARTY tuner, it'll move now for a big truck.

The bigger exhaust won't help you untill your pushing 500+ at the rear wheels. The 06 has 4" all the way. He could lose the muffler/cat to cut down on the restriction and keep the 4". I just dyno'd today and made 613/1171 and I'm on a stock 4" exhaust with a 51" Donaldson truck muffler.

He could add a 2" leveling kit to the front end to take care of that.

Go to Cumminsforum and do some reading. He will learn all about programmers. Bank's is probably the most expensive for what you get. It is safe power with less smoke, but there are equal and greater hp tuners out there for less $.

yeah Smarty is the only way to go other than maybe the edge juice w/attitude as it gives good power on the cummins.

Avoid Banks, they suck and are nothing but a name. They won't make much power at all with their tuners.
