Default Cant decide on 20s or 22s!

I know I want the centerline stingray 3s. Never seen a truck with them here in west Texas. I have a 2 inch drop in the back on my 2003 Sierra.
.
A lot of guys are telling me that 20s are out and I need to get 22s. What do you guys think?

I can save around $600 if I get the 20s. Not sure if that extra 2 inches is worth the $600?

here is a 99 sierra with a 3/6 drop and 22s

im sure it wont be too hard to find some pics of ones on 20s, i just dont have any in my photobucket right now.

if you dont have much drop and can run higher profile tires, like a 40-series or taller or dont mind the way a lowprofile tire rides, get the 22s,other wise get the 20s if those are your only choices.

personally, im tired of 20"+ rims and going with 17s soon, cheaper tires and more performance

Thanks guys. Nightrunner, your truck is really nice. What size tires are those? 305/40/22? I think Im leaning towards the 20s myself.

Oh ok. So if I do go 20s, 275/45/20 is the size to get? Mine is an extended cab.

I have a belltech 2 inch drop as well. I want my tires to be the same height as they are from the factory but with a 20. A little wider is ok but I want the same height for optimal performance IMO.

If you plan on only having a 2" drop in the back and keeping the front suspension stock, I would definitely go with 20's on 285/50-20 tires. Those tires are approx. 31" tall, which will fill the fender gap nicely and give you decent ride quality. If you plan in dropping the truck more in the future, I might consider 22's. Bigger wheels look better on dropped vehicles (especially when they tuck in the finder wells ), IMO.
