Default Nerves

I always look forward to hitting the track with a passion and as the time approaches I get anxious.

Will my truck perorm?
What's that tick tick sound?
Why does water vapor exit my exhaust when cold?
What if I break something?
What if I smash something?
What if I'm slow
I run my launch plan over and over in my head and lose a couple hours sleep.
Is it only me?

LOL, alot of those things are some of the reasons why I don't go to the track. I'm afraid that the numbers will only further remind me that my truck is slow.

The rush is all worth it. Dont hesitate taking it to the track, it is a blast and a lot safer than a WOT on the street.

Boyz....the track is great! The nerves and the excitement.....whooo...ogtta love it. But................there ain't no feeling like being at a stop light and some punk is next to you in a GT Mustang. The punk revs the car and when the light turns green, a big ol' Z71 rolls up some white smoke and half tracks the Mustang to the next light! And when you turn to look at the kid driving the Mustang...he won't even look at you and just stares at the floor or the dash.

Street racing kicks ***...but the track is the safest place to show your *****!

Mine go like this:

"What if I brake it?"
"How will I get it home?"
"Who's trailer can I barrow this time?"
"Will I feel much pain when my wife kills me after she finds out I broke the money pit, AGAIN?"

I run brackets on the Weds night deals, made it thru 3 rounds and got killed by my r/t on the 4th, damn it!
Brackets are fun but there is a lot of technique to learn to win!
