I have been looking at the nittos but damn they are pricey and I have heard they dont get very good tread life. Anybody have any experience with them or suggest another tire. Discount tire wants 1600 mounted and balanced for them with road hazard which seems kinda expensive but I guess you gotta pay to play. Im mainly worried about the mileage Ill get out of them. My buddy had the terra grapplers and at 15K they only had about 30% tread left which to me seems shitty, I realize its a mud tire but damn for how much they want for them...

 

i have the terra grapplers on mine and they have been nothing but great. ive put about 12-13k on mine and they have plent of tread and i drive crazy as hell and mudding i have'nt got stuck yet

 

procomp mudders, i know a kid who has gotten 25k miles outta em everytime he buys em... you can usually get them buy 3 get 1 free to if you catch em at the right time

 

They dont offer tires in 20" rims

 

i don't know if they make the terra grappler in that size but they have an awesome tread life

 

They make the terras in 305/55R20 which is barely over 33 and 12.60 wide. In the muds they make one a hair under 33 but 12.8 wide on 20s. Wonder what my buddy did to wear his down so fast, they were on a basically stock truck so it wasnt like he was burning them down.

 

Wonder if with ford keys I can fit them with no rubbing with trimming the lower valance. The discount tire guys say with stock offset rims I have(20x8.5 with 5.4" backspacing) that they will probably clear the fenders but will rub the frame a little. Anybody running this size tire on stock suspension with the ford keys or turned up stock keys?

 

my dad has maxxis bighorn tires(285/75r16 or 33x11.50r16) on stock wheels on his 2500hd dmax and they are doing pretty good so far the front started dippingbut still wear good and havent gotten stuck yet but he doesnt get in too rought of stuff

only cost him about $150 mounted and balanced at local tire shop

a friend of mine also had these tires ona 97 f150 in a 35x12.50 on a 6" lift and he said they were the best tire he'd ever had and he took mud tires to the limit

 

Those are great and all but the limiting factor is I have 20" wheels. If would have made up my mind sooner I would have went 18s but at the time I was planning on going for the street look. Oh well such is life...

I would look at the Trxus Mt's they have them available for 20's and Interco makes the baddest mud tires available.
