Default how much slower is my truck because of the ec

when i bought my truck i could not find a scsb with a 5.3 so i got a ecsb with a 5.3. now that i have been after performance i wonder how much slower is it? i would like to be able to get mid 13 sec et's out of it. so i was thinking about trading it in on a scsb before i do much more to it. but is it worth it?

mid 13's are easy if you build it up right.

i got 13.8 in my ecsb without even opening my motor. ap2002 ran 13.2 in his cammed ecsb 5.3

Or you can just throw a blower on there and skip the 14's and 13's all together.

so do yall think that 4.10's, transgo hd2, yank 3000, and a tr224 would push it into the mid 13's

without bolt ons no.

Your also gonna need a full exhaust: Long Tubes and back, and some other bolt ons to hit 13's

I'm basically running a tr224 (comp cams 224/224) and it definantly woke the truck up with my tune and even when I put a stall in, it won't be running 13's

with absolutely nothing else done? No. That would get him into the LOWWW 14's but I think he'd need more. It also depends where he's racing at. If he's racing at low elevation with optimal racing conditions then that's good for a hell of alot more than people think.

Disclaimer-I'm not saying he couldn't hit 13's with that combo, but 9/10 truck with that combo and NOTHING ELSE wouldn't be able to.
