Default Interesting trip to the track last night...

I was just planning on heading down to the track and running on motor to work on my R/T, so I didn't take the DR's with me. I stopped by my buddy's shop on the way to see if he wanted to ride, and he of course asked if the bottle was full. When I told him it wasn't, and that I didn't bring the DR's, he said "So!?!??!"

What I thought would be a disaster turned into a lot of fun! The truck actually hooked great on the 20" Nittos; hitting the bottle after the 1-2 shift, netted a 12.47 @ 116. Once the bottle pressure dropped, I decided to spray it in first, and pulled a 1.89 short time and a 12.37 ET, but there just wasn't enough nitrous left on the big end and I only trapped 111.

I was really shocked that I could run mid 12's at 114-116 on the 20" radials. What a fun night!

My better runs:

2.124, 12.477 @ 116.33
2.035, 12.574 @ 115.00
2.097, 12.432 @ 114.56
1.899, 12.373 @ 111.22

What was your 60ft times on the 11.5 pass? You was a topic of conversation between me and Goshawk23 the other day on the phone. We just have to know how that truck is running a 13.2 on motor to a 11.5 on a 100 shot. Are the mods in the sig all you have done? What's the scoop?

The truck doesn't 60 for **** on the motor. The 13.19 run on motor was a 2.05 short time, no spin at all. The truck just doesn't do crap in 1st gear. I really wish that I would have gone with 4.56's.

The short time on the DR's was a 1.75 on that 11.57 run. In theory, that's 0.6 just in the better short time. Adding another 100 hp and even more tq is where I guess it picked up the rest of the ET from.

What surprised me is the MPH that it picked up...it only went 107 on motor, but 119 on a 100 shot. Trust me, a lot of people were scratching their head that day.

The other big factor was the DA that day. It was -97ft.

As for mods....that's the major stuff. Here's a list I made of the last round of mods...

Pacesetter headers
4L80-E swap w/ Transgo shift kit and Yank TT3200HD converter (3200-stall)
4" aluminum 3/4-ton driveshaft w/ 1350 yokes
4.11 gears, Eaton posi, T/A girdle
Cal Trac traction bars
custom dual 3" exhaust w/ 3" Flowmaster 40's
NX MAF kit (100 shot)
M&H Racemaster 275/55-16" Drag Radials
skinnies for the front (215/65-16's)

These F-ing trucks are hard as hell to figure out. My truck on motor has gone a best of 12.40@107mph. Didn't get any 1/4 times on the 150 shot, but it went 7.40@93mph with a spinning 1.9? 60ft. I have no idea what this thing is going to run with the TCI 3000 gone and the Fuddle 3800 in now. I can already tell its killing the old setup out of the hole. I wish I could get one clean 1/4 pass before it goes down again though.

i believe scream. that sucker just runs hard as hell on the spray. both of us came to the conclusion that the exuast he's running is just too much for the motor and better on the spray.

You've got a 6.0, so I'm guessing that you have a bit more torque than I do in the lower RPM's. It's funny how close we are on MPH, but you're ET is MUCH better than mine. My truck just flies in 2nd and 3rd, but is a dog in 1st.

The 4l80e transmission is probaly why 1st gear is a dog on motor.

Good runs Scream! I miss the good weather we had the last time I saw you run that beast.
I thought you lost traction on your 13.2 motor run earlier this year from what I remember. I could be wrong though. Your truck has 12's in it on motor I'd bet in good weather now.
When I ran my truck with the new JW 3400 converter it was very tight on motor and it loosened up on the nitrous and I gained 1.2 seconds of et and 11 mph on the 100 shot.
