what is the stall speed of the trailblazer ss. i have a friend that seems to think it is the same as the i6 trailblazer and is about to buy one. i told him not to but he started to got upset and told me i didn't know what i was talking about so i'm asking for his sake. i don't like seeing people get screwed.

Mine brake stalls to about 2100 and flashes about the same (I think), but that is behind a 400HP LS2. I'll double check today.

I doubt its the same.. The LS2 makes a buttload of torque to need as much stall as a 6 cylinder..

In my Radix'd 03 Silverado SS mine brake stalls to 2100-2200 and flashes to 3000-3200 . It really made a hell of a difference in my launches. I have yet to run it to see if my 60' improves from a previous best of 1.90. I was told you gotta be careful getting them from rebuilders because you can get the wrong one. Also I was also told there were different part numbers for different years...maybe the TC bolt circle? Later

Edit: I do have the TB torque converter, can't remember what the stock stall was

but is it the i6 or ss or v8 tc? and what could you get your stock tc to stall to?

I believe the I6 TC is the one that you want.

I6 Tc is the one you need just go with the same year TB converter as your truck.

I wonder how the I6 convertor would do behind the LS2?
Who's gonna be the first?

I thought it was the I5 converter. I can't remember my stock stall, but I'm guessing 1200 maybe flash to 1600 or so. Here is where I got mine http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8058415940&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT no core charge, and I paid $235 shipped thru a best offer. Couldn't be happier with it.

i don't need it. i know a guy that thinks the ss trailblazer has a high stall tc. i'm trying to tell its not but i need comfermation that its not. i think its just the ls2 making it seem like one but when it get put in a ss silverado its gonna stall lower than in the ss trailblazer because of less power.

Several already have, different site. Only is reducing ETs about .2-.3 sec, not nearly as much as a 3200 or 3600 stall.

I6 in an SS yields a stall speed of ~2800rpm.

Stock SS stall is 2100-2200rpm.
