Default FMS Custom 224/224 .575/.575-114

I am looking for a good cam that will be good n/a and great on nitrous... I wanted to go with a 113 LSA but I just dont know...
-a 2800 stall and 918 springs and new timing set will also be going in since the motor has about 90K on it now. gotta keep it tight. any suggestions?? I spoke with Allen and he said its better to start out with the cam you want first instead of doing 2 or 3 cam swaps to end up with what you wanted to begin with... makes sense to me. they'll do it for $389. Are there any other good companies out there for a quality custom grind? I have heard good things about FMS so I gave them a ring.

o-yeah... a healthy lope is a must.

shoot ap2002 a message. i think he has the tr220/220/114 in a 5.3l ecsb with a 2800 stall and n20. it ran a healthy 13.0x. sounds like it works pretty well to me.

Id go 224. I just did a cam swap for a bud last Sat for a 5.3 with nitrous. I think it was 226/226 on a 114, but Im not sure the lift. You can also call Cam motion and they will custom grind you one. Thats where mine's from, and who grinds cams for FMS

If you look at Trevert1s dyno it might turn you off towards the 224/224-114. He wasnt seeing a power gain until WAY farther up in the rpm band. His cam was VERY similar to the cam you described. He had to have it advanced just to see some power down low. If i remember correctly, i think he lost a lot of low end torque but dont quote me on it. Just givin you some info.

yeah I know I will lose a good bit down low but I think the top end and stall with wake it up off the line a lot... I just dont want to do 3 cam swaps trying to get the one I want. I want to do it and be done with it.

Then talk to Ed curtis or Cammotion and get the cam that is FOR your truck and your truck only. Then be done with it...
