Im about 70miles south of chicago...but i'll consider myself in the "area" 9actually im within 35miles of Kankakee/Bradley/Bourbonais (if any of you have heard of it)
Modded trucks are around illinois...just have to wait for them to come out. People protect there trucks like there muscle cars in the winter....well, around here they do anyway.
Dave
I'm gonna be at every SCC at 41 this year, permitting the truck doesn't break....im sure i'll see some of ya'll there. Im usually the goofy one towing my truck behind my 04 8.1L (as most people just drive them there cuz i haven't seen too many FS chevy's arrive on trailers)

Im in Lafayette, Indiana, I consider it north west, I dont know about the rest of yall. As for a modded truck , well kinda, im driving a 84 scottsdale
with a 700r4 tranny, 2:72 gears, 4 wheel drive
and a edelbrock 350 thats putting out around 400 horses new
its probably less now, the motor is several years old,
and instead of being on dual pipes like it was, its back to a single exaughst
needles to say I got tired of noise violations, and fix it tickets here in town.
But the truck still gets down and goes, Ive yet to race it at the strip lol, its more of a mud/ play truck for the badlands then anything, its old and rusty, you know, the type your not afraid to scratch. My play toy for the strip is my 84 regal that im rebuilding
