Cowl induction hoods

Do cowl hoods give any extra underhood clearance?I may be looking for a couple inches more clearance.

Assuming it doesn't have a heat-shield it should give you a couple more inches of clearance

My Goodmark doesn't. It uses the factory underhood liner. I can't speak for any of the others.

My East Coast Custom hood gives a little more clearance.

Ive done a couple functional ram air hoods on dodges and they add a small amount
