Default Should I Drive or Tow this Biatch?

It all started good this afternoon. I just happened to get home early from work. My wife and children were not home. Looks like I get a moment of peace and quiet for a change. I get a ring at the door....it's my new 02 sensors(front/upsteam sensors). I love working on my truck, it's perfect timing. Got the passenger side done in about five minutes. I had already picked up an offset 02 wrench. I started on the driver side. It was a little hard to get to. Then the garrage door starts to open here comes the wife with every 4-6 year old in the neighbor hood in the Land Rover. Kids start piling out. I still under the truck thinking "WTF?????" Kids are picking up my fricking torque wrenches. I start yelling my wifes name. Then I realize the 02 sensor is hung. In a cloud of frustration I jerk at it and end up stripping out the threads. I have been trying for the last hour to get it in. It ain't gonna happen. I'm irratated because I don't have time to fool with it. I'm sure it could either be rethread or ????? Weld a bung in place? I have the tools nad the time to do either. I'm taking it to the dealership in the morning. They are 5 miles away. Can I drive it on 1 02 sensor and a empty bung on the other side?? Or should I tow her in? What do ya thing??

Your SES light will come on of course, but it might be better to take both of them out and drive it in. The front 02's read air/fuel and stuff like that I think, and having both of them out will cause a neutral reading. I remember somebody doing this when they were taking their truck to the exhaust shop after putting on lt headers. Since its only 5 miles away, it shouldn't really matter. BTW, sounds like a badass truck, got any pics?

Man, that is kinda what I was thinking. I'm really tempted to just drive it the way it is. I wouldn't get up past 35 mph. Anybody else wanna through their .02 in?? Oh, Thanks man, I appreciate it. I haven't figured how to upload yet. I was messing with it the other day and every time I tried to upload a picture it said it was too big. I'm sure there is something I not doing. Please advise.

Getting ready to hit 80K and I have seen a drop in MPG. This may or may not be related to the 02"s. However, gives me better sleep at night. Just my .02 though. I didn't have any ses light but it did feel like it was getting a little rich at about 12 mpg. -Parker

Drive it you wont have any issues- Probably a SES light but dont worry about it! If it makes you feel better just take it easy. But for the lat 3 weeks Im on my 3rd set of o2 sensors and Ive been driving with them all screwed up. From one burnt out while the other was almsot burnt out -to one hooked up and one not -to them not heating up properly. Drive it you will be ok!

Well, I drove it and no problem at all. Not even a SES light. That kinda scares me. The Dealership said they couldn't tap it because it wouldn't take. They tried to sell me a new pipe and then said that they wouldn't be able to put it on because of the welding involved. What a bunch a ******* I walked across the street to NAPA and picked up a 18mm Spark plug thread chaser after the guy told me they didn't have one and came home and did it my self.
Oh.....I told the wife it cost $175.00. I'll be getting some underdrive pulley's real soon.
